From a Spark to a Movement
The Beginning
Shining Sparks Ontario Inc. was born in 2020 from a simple observation by brothers Bilal and Haroon Khan: every child has the potential to excel, but not every child has the same access to the tools they need. What started as a small, peer-to-peer tutoring initiative in our local community has grown into a structured, province-wide mission to close the educational gap.
Our Philosophy
We believe that students are uniquely positioned to help other students. By removing financial barriers to high-quality academic support, we create a space where learning is accessible, relatable, and empowering.
Our 'Beyond the Screen' philosophy drives us to turn these values into action. This is why we actively partner with community leaders like Sakeenah Homes to provide essential school supplies and academic mentorship directly to youth in transitional housing. We believe that a student's circumstances should never limit their potential, and through these collaborations, we ensure no child is left behind.

Proven Community Impact: In 2025, Shining Sparks successfully collaborated with Sakeenah Homes to distribute essential school supplies and backpacks to youth in transitional housing. This partnership ensured that students facing housing instability had the high-quality tools and academic confidence needed to start their school year strong.
